it's always good to show some close up photo's of the construction of furniture , i.e locks , joints , hinges ect.

Double pedestal sideboard, I remember buying items like this back in the period 1970s /1990 for between £700 and £1200 each

to day in the States I think an interior designer would still pay $3000 - $5000 refinished

Your item looks like it needs refinishing. In a London Auction house say Lots Road. it would bring at least £300

Its locks have been removed unfortunately, I have found a similar item on the internet which appears to be from the same makers/manufacturers judging by the style and dimensions.
Looks like the top is a different wood to the ledgeback; is this normal?
