Antiques Thread: Big and Brown

  1. #1

    Big and Brown

    Hi John,
Id really appreciate a valuation of this lump. The dimensions are 7ft by 7ft. The only thing I know about it is that the wood came from Rutland Forest.
Also could you advise on the best way to go about selling such a beast.
    Many thanks. Phil.

10 to 15 years age an oak dresser like this was in demand retail in the 1500 BRACKET

    BUT TODAY THINGS ARE DIFFERENT.

The USA, deep south is where this has a value today.

Would someone in the 'deep south' be interested in this John? I loved it on sight, i.e. from a photograph (Southport Buy Sell and Swap) and bought it to upcycle but sadly I now realise it is just too large to fit into the space I had in mind so basically is now a pain in the backside to get rid of. He wanted 200 and I paid 150.
