Without taking them all out of the boxes again I believe some say Taiwan? Not all of them say where they were made, it is just a clear printed sticker so I imagine they may have fallen off or not had one at all

As you know, these were produced in the 1980s and 1990s as "collectables" by a company that specialises in such things. You'll see these listed on the likes of eBay asking anything between £10 and £60, depending I think on the would-be seller's optimism. I'd suggest you watch a few examples and see what they actually fetch.

So no real value initially then? I know my grandmother paid £120-£145 per doll, Snow White being £145 in 1993 as I have a receipt stub.
As I say she was curious as to the value and I thank you for your time

Most Franklin mint items do not increase in value and as Nomad has said Ebay is a good guide.

But there are some of the Franklin Mint items are what we call "sleepers"

This is an item that for some reason goes against the rule of thumb for value.
Snow White being £145 in 1993
This may be one of those items

Before Nomad gets the recognition for a joke or sarcasm

all the dolls laying on their backs become sleepers.

Some can sell well if you market your items internationally. I know the porcelain dolls can be worth around £25-40 on ebay which isn't too bad really.
