    Piece of art?

    Hiya Vanny

I have this painting. It's really odd, because some of it is painted and then some of it is painted and sort of 'sliced' through the paper.

The siganature at the bottom says Elias something and the title of it is Algarve. It has the date 1973 painted on it. I know its not an antique, but I wondered if you had heard of this method of 'painting' before?

I'm not very fond of it (it's bluddie 'orrible!) but I don't just want to chuck it, if it may be worth even a couple of bob?

Hi again Marilyn.............Quote.....I have this painting. It's really odd, end of quote.

Marilyn........really odd ....You can say that again.

I hope I do not come over as though I am knocking the items that you own.

But to be honest, If I had heard of the method of painting I am sure I would never remember it.
This is a typical tourist item as you said from the Algarve.
It is the sort of thing my Mother (bless her soul )would have had back in the 1970's and when she died in the 80's I gave to a charity shop

    I know you love ebay........start 99p
    who knows on ebay
    all the best

PMSL - Thanks vanny! (I know you're not knocking my stuff )

All this stuff is bits I picked up from my Nan & Grandad when they died - He was a charity shop junkie! Used to bring home all sorts of rubbish (Although I think the picture is one they got on their many travels).

I've got a couple more that I'm putting on in a little while if you don't mind?
