Here’s one for the history books - a photo of the 'last supper' for dedicated staff and volunteers who made one of Ormskirk's first charity shops such a big success.
And a big hand to two volunteers who bucked the stereotype of the ‘footballer’s wife’ - Mrs. Joe Royle (left) and Mrs Colin Harvey volunteered at the Aughton St Cancer Research shop for 21 and 27 years respectively!
Everyone met at Piri Piri last Monday evening for a slap up meal with the shop closing on Saturday, 23rd December - the landlord’s said he wants to re-develop the top floor for student accommodation ... enough said?
The charity's keen to maintain a presence in Ormskirk once suitable premises can be found.
