The brilliant Pearl of Africa Choir's had another very successful trip to west Lancashire.
And appreciative audiences were always in harmony during their latest tour that's raised thousands of pounds for their amazing work! (http://www.pearlofafrica.org.uk/)
Concerts were mostly fully booked and we received fantastic feedback from audiences young and old! And the success of this leg of the tour is replicated by so many generous donations - when all monies are collected we hope some £20,000 will help sustain the Molly and Paul Foundation back in Uganda - supporting over 2000 children - for another twelve months.
A highlight this year was a visit to Liverpool Anglican Cathedral where the choir sung under 'The Bridge' - a memorable day!
Evening concerts were held at St Wilfred’s C of E School, Standish, Formby High School, Hope Academy, Newton le Willows, The Civic, Ormskirk, Deyes High School, Maghull, Rose Theatre, Edge Hill University, Liverpool One Church, Ormskirk School, and St John the Baptist, Burscough.
And the following schools also supported us by allowing the choir to attend and work with children, and in doing fundraising and workshops: St Wilfred’s C of E Sch, Standish, Canon Sharples Primary, Shelley, Wigan, Formby High School, Greetby Hill C of E Primary, Ormskirk School, Deyes High School, Maghull, Christ Church Primary, Aughton, St Michael's Primary, Aughton, The Village School, Burscough, St John's C of E Primary, Burscough, Newton le Willows Primary, and Hope Academy, Newton le Willows.
