Around 80 folk met recently for the annual West Lancashire CVS meeting.
Held at Haskayne Village Hall, it was opened by Mayor's consort Noel Delaney, Anita Abram, chair, spoke of how in the past year the body has worked hard to steer a course through the changing landscape to maximise opportunities for collaborative working and access new and emerging funding streams
Chief Officer Greg Mitten thanked groups including the borough and county council along with the Big Lottery Fund and the west Lancashire CCG for their support
"Despite the challenges, it is inspiring and a privilege to witness the sheer hard work, commitment and collective energy of our local charities and community groups as they continue to support the wellbeing of the west Lancashire community," he said.
Total funds carried forward from 2016 have dropped to £186,150 from £353,763 in the 2015 financial year.
