Police have confirmed that they took a injured teen to Southport hospital after she fell through the plate glass window at Age UK in Ormskirk town centre early last Sunday morning.
A PR officer said she was running down Burscough St. and fell through the window - it's thought she had been at Alpine bar earlier on Saturday night with friends.
The girl's mum has contacted the busy QLocal news desk to insist her daughyter was not 'twerking' outside the shop: officers were alerted about the drama by NWAS and arrived at 1.44am on the scene. An ambulance had been stood down and the officers decided to take the injured girl to Southport hospital for treatment straight away.
An Age UK PR statement said that the damage would be paid for out of its insurance policy.
Steve Woolridge, head of Retail Operations at Age UK, said; “Like all of the charity’s shops, the Age UK shop in Ormskirk has an insurance policy in place which covers accidental damage."
