It's not even open yet - but there's been a bitter blow for the owner of a new Burscough Street microbar with the possibility of Council enforcement action to replace its new plastic window frames.
This from the WLBC PR office: 'The Council is aware of a breach of planning control at 37 Burscough Street.
'It has received a complaint that replacement upvc windows have been inserted in the building. The type and style of widows are considered unacceptable as the property lies within the Conservation Area.
'The Council has a statutory duty to preserve the character and appearance of the Conservation Area. The Council will consider the range of options available to it to seek to address this matter.
'In such cases, the Council may consider serving an enforcement notice to require removal of the upvc frames.'
