The Borough Council's Street Scene service has suffered a significant setback following a break in at their depot.
The break in, which happened in the early hours of Monday 30 April, resulted in some items of equipment being stolen and other plant damaged beyond use.
Councillor Kevin Wilkie, portfolio holder for Street Scene, said: "The loss of valuable equipment and significant damage caused to three ride-on mowers has delayed deployment resulting in no grass cutting for a week.
"It is our busiest time of the year and this reckless damage means the teams are behind with the scheduled grass cutting. We ask for your patience as the teams work hard to catch up."

I don't like when grass grows high. It brings more insects too.

Taking care of a lawn is such a tough thing. And the tools needed for it are pretty expensive. I mean, at least you need something like CRAFTSMAN CMCBL760E1 and a decent mower and those aren't cheap at all.
