It’s bitterly disappointing that yet again we have teams failing to submit the results on time. While I am aware that the Bridge gained all 8 points against the Queens Head and La Cantina B had a 3 – 3 tie with the Farmers, the home teams have so far failed to post the results to our website.

The 8 points see the Bridge gain some ground on Bar 22, but Bar 22’s 7 – 1 triumph over the Railway mean they are still 7 points ahead of their nearest challenger.
The Queen Inn sit in 3rd place with 42 points, 10 behind Bar 22, following their win by the odd game against La Cantina A.

Two points behind the Bridge we find the 22 Club, who won the odd game away at the Stanley Club, The Stanley sit in 5th place another 4 points off the pace.
Shaw Hall had a good 5 (6) – 2 win away at the Bridge Dogs.

The match at La Cantina was an odd affair, both had difficulties fielding sufficient players. The result was as mentioned above a 3-3 draw, neither team receiving a bonus point as there was no overall winner.

Next week sees the last league fixture in 2018 when a top of the table clash sees the league leaders travel away to their nearest challengers.

After another round of the singles on 21/11 we move to the cup, which has a champions league style format, more about that shortly.
