A QLocal reader contacted the busy newsdesk last night after a near miss involving her and one of a group of reckless teen cyclists.
You've probably seen a pack of them who cycle in and around the town centre and round Ormskirk - last night Gill Glover was driving an elderly friend home when out of the blue one rounded the corner at the junction of Blackmoss Lane and Long Lane on the wrong side of the road nearly hitting her car.
"He had no helmet on and it could have ended all so differently if I hadn't have slammed my brakes on to avoid hitting him," she said.
He was evidently one of a group of ten or so 'long haired lads' well known round town for their bike riding antics like pulling wheelies on main roads and in the town centre; perhaps some covert policing might nip this in the bud and prevent a serious accident happening?
