Apologies to all our readers for some fake news on QLocal Ormskirk a few days ago...

After a tip off from a reader on Tower Hill, Ormskirk, reporter Roger Blaxall spoke to the HQ police PR office to be assured that there'd been no drug raids in the Mart Lane area of late.

Ouch!

In fact, there were TWO drug raids in Burscough in the last week - one of which made the local Police FB page. The second followed hard on the heels of a raid on a student house on Mart Lane where this afternoon Blaxall snapped around 10 cannabis plants left with their foliage cut off in the back yard.

Raid number two which QLocal presumes is connected was on Thursday at a student house on Glenroyd Drive which was forcibly entered by officers.

Worryingly, the HQ Police PR office had no info. on this second raid, either.
