This is the aftermath of an early morning ram raid at Booths, Burscough after a store window was smashed as the thieves made a bid to steal the cash machine.
Quite why they ended up dragging the coffee machine from the store is a mystery but police responded in force with one eyewitness texting the busy QLocal news desk saying up to eight police vehicles were seen there at around 5am.
A Police PR officer confirmed the break in happened at around 3.15am with an appeal being put made for any witnesses to contact Lancashire detectives.
This afternoon a clean up was in full swing with the targeted cash machine still out of action.
