Legal or illegal - you be the judge of this BMW driver parked outside Edge Hill university.
QLocal has learnt that some 30 drivers successfully had their parking tickets overturned after it transpired that they’d all been booked illegally over a technicality.
A parking warden who travels down regularly from Preston though he’d hit pay dirt but was told later that he had issued the tickets unlawfully as the cars were all parked with four wheel s on the pavement on St. Helens Road.
That makes it a Police matter and with no officers around to enforce it, the tickets were cancelled.
The warden is still a busy in parts of Ormskirk; QLocal's Roger Blaxall took this photo of him on a break on Vicarage Lane.
Meanwhile, students and staff who are eligible for parking passes are being urged apply asap as the new term looms.
