Liam Gould, 30, and Daniel Tracey, 25, both of Coe Lane, Tarleton, were stopped by Police in their vehicle on Pump House Lane on Tuesday evening after acting suspiciously.
The two men were arrested at the scene when it was discovered that one of them was carrying cannabis and an axe was on board the vehicle.
Their arrest led Lancashire Police to do a house search on Coe Lane where they found a firearm and what they suspect is a banned breed of dog.
The two men are due to appear at Preston Magistrates Court charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to supply; possession of offensive weapon; possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate and possession of a knife blade.
