Have a great day out and see a wonderful selection of military vehicles and memorabilia at Blaguegate Playing Fields on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July.

The Skelmersdale Veterans Association, supported by West Lancashire Borough Council, has organised the military-themed event to raise money for military charities. Entry is free and the fun lasts from 10am to 6pm on both days. Donations can be made at various places around the show site.

Superb displays of military vehicles from the West Lancs Military Vehicle Trust and the Airborne Comrades Association will be among the main attractions. Veterans are also bringing their bikes and trikes.

Historia Normannis, who always prove very popular at the Ormskirk Medieval Weekend, will thrill the crowds with their exciting combat displays. Visitors can try on the armour, take a closer look at the weapons and how they’re made or even try their hand at archery.
Everyday life in the 12th century will be featured with medieval cooking demonstrations and a fashion show to talk about the different styles of dress of the times. There will also be displays of medieval crafts to help give people the full experience of the sights, sounds and smells of Medieval England.

There will also be stalls with military memorabilia and a vintage fire engine will be on display.

Dog displays, a pony show, pig racing, and a reptile show add a bit of animal magic to the event and there will be bouncy castles for the children to enjoy.
