Girlguiding members from across Sefton and Merseyside gathered at their Scarisbrick campsite to celebrate owning the facility for 50 years.
They enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of entertainment, challenges and games trying their skills at a coconut shy, tombolas, inflatables, zip wire and many other activities supplied by various units from both Counties.
The older girls continued the celebrations with a barbecue and music supplied by local bands 'Sway', 'The Articles' and 'The Mono LPs' before camping out for the night as generations of girls have done on the same spot.
Millie,11, said: “It was amazing, I loved the boy on the guitar,” Caitlin, 10 “had a fabulous time. Loved the stalls on Fun Day and going to camp tonight” while Lucy, 13, thought the bands and music were great.
Marjorie Boyd, Chair of the campsite, told QLocal: “We are so fortunate to have this facility!
"Thousands of Guides have camped here over the years and all have their own special memories; this weekend we’ve created more memories for today’s Guides by celebrating in a way unheard of 50 years ago.
"Traditional camping still happens here but it’s good that we can also offer a festival experience in a safe environment.”
