Should local county councillors hang their heads in shame every time they drive down Holborn Hill into Ormskirk?

If they care a jot about the state of one of the key entrances to the town, the answer is a definite yes...

Spring might be bursting out all over but that’s not the case at Town End, its down at heel roundabout featuring a few uninspiring shrubs and an object lesson on how NOT to tend such an important community facility.

A few days ago, a HGV drove across it, taking out a sign post in the process and leaving deep tyre tracks in the grass.

And it’s only a few months ago that LCC made a cursory effort to tidy it up after it was shamed into a PR exercise by local landscape gardener Chris Bentley: http://ormskirk.qlocal.co.uk/ormskir...t-55025840.htm

Rumour has it that Edge Hill University was denied an opportunity to sponsor the roundabout, too, in autumn.

Its an absolute disgrace compared to what it used to look like, I suppose when they get our 5.99% council tax rise they will make it better though !!!!
