A family fun event at Ormskirk's Nordico Lounge raised over £140 for Rainbow House to help support children and young people with neurological and physical conditions - with more events planned soon!

The recent Mad Hatters Tea Party - with a visit by Alice and the Mad Hatter - featured face painting, games, cake, biscuits and the chance to design a 'Mad Hat'; Laurie, Sophie and Jack are pictured with Alice and some of the delicious tea party goodies.

On Saturday 27th May, there will be a second family event from 12 noon to 4 pm with a Superheroes theme with a children’s craft table, biscuits made for donations and the team dressed in SuperHero T shirts from noon until 4pm.

This will be followed by a sponsored walk on Bank Holiday Monday, 28th May at 5pm when participants will follow the War Horse route – an 8.5 mile route from Ormskirk Station to Lathom Park used in WWI as a Remount Depot for the horses brought to help in the war effort.

John Childs, General Manager, Nordico Lounge told QLocal: "Nordico Lounge is proud to have Rainbow House as our supported charity. We will be doing monthly events to both raise funds and awareness of the amazing work they do."

Added Ben Blackman, CEO, Rainbow House: “We really appreciate the support from the team at the Nordico Lounge and thanks to the staff and customers for raising funds to help our work at Rainbow House.

"Some of our team are also looking forward to taking part in the sponsored walk around the War Horse route at the end of the month.”
