Moors Murderer Ian Brady's ashes were buried at sea in the middle of the night after a cremation in Southport last Wednesday, it has been confirmed.

The child killer, died aged 79 on May 15 this year and was incinerated without ceremony.

The body was collected from the mortuary at Royal Liverpool hospital by a Tameside Council official at around 9pm on October 25, court documents show.

Under police escort the corpse was then taken to Southport Crematorium, where the cremation began at 10pm exactly. No music or flowers were allowed.

Following this, Brady's ashes were placed in a weighted biodegradable urn, driven to Liverpool Marina and later dispatched at sea on Thursday, October 26, at 2.30am.

Margaret Carney, Sefton Council’s Chief Executive, said: “The High Court ordered us to cremate the remains of Ian Brady because he died within the Sefton borough boundary.

“In complying with this Order from the High Court, the cremation took place at Southport Crematorium outside normal operating hours and no other services at the crematorium were affected.

“The coffin did not enter any public area and was cremated in a separate standby cremator which was professionally cleaned afterwards.

“Following cremation, the ashes were immediately returned to the administrator of the estate and not disposed of anywhere in the borough.”

The enduring image I have is not of the two pieces of filth who committed the crimes - no - it's the anguish of Keith Bennets Mother, Winnie and her desperate pleas for Brady to help find her son.

The tape of Lesley Ann Downey pleading for her life before this ******* sexually assaulted and then killed her is the most heart wrenching thing I have heard in my entire life.

    Rot in hell, Brady.

They should have disposed of both bodies in weighted containers at sea, 40 odd years ago while they where still alive....

Should have been a rope, or better still a long "fry" in a chair, however that's it and in reality the ******* got away with it. We ALL paid friggin loads keeping him alive and to what end.

Not the last i'm afraid......... anyone else STRING EM UP
