'Dear customer,

Following on from the public meeting held on the 3rd November 2017 hosted by Rosie Cooper (MP), you may have become aware of investigations United Utilities and our partner agencies have been conducting in the local area with respect to flooding.

Different authorities are responsible for different aspects of flood risk management; in this instance, United Utilities are working together with Lancashire County Council acting as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) and Highway Authority (HA) for the area, the Environment Agency and West Lancashire Borough Council.

We would like to invite you to a public meeting which we will be holding on Tuesday 5th June at Briars Hall Hotel, Briars Lane, Ormskirk, L40 5TH. The event will start at 6pm and representatives from United Utilities and Lancashire County Council as the LLFA and HA, will be available to speak to and will be able to tell you what they are doing to help relieve flooding in Burscough.

From 6pm to 7pm there will be an informal session where you will be able to speak with representatives from each agency.

From 7pm onwards, there will be a number of presentations showing the partnership approach and the findings of recent investigations.
