The emergency services were called to Mains Lane near Burscough yesterday(28th August) after a light aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in a field.
Lancashire Fire service Tweeted...
We have three fire engines and drone on the way to a light aircraft that has come down in a farmers field .
Our control room operators have spoken to the pilot to establish the exact location. The air ambulance is also on the way to incident.
We believe the aircraft was carrying the pilot and one passenger. Although we have spoken to the pilot,we don't have details of any injuries.
Firefighters have located the aircraft and established that it landed safely in a farmers field near Mains Lane. There were no injuries.
