It might have only lasted a few hours but the sudden snow which hit the Ormskirk area this morning caused its fair share of delays and disruption.
Traffic was queuing along County Road for thirty minutes or so while three trapped lorries were ‘rescued’ on Holborn Hill while this van driver from Hull came a cropper after his MB Vito left the road near the Milano cafe in Scarisbrick.
The driver told QLocal's Roger Blaxall how he was driving really slowly in a mini blizzard at around 7am when he lost control and ended up in the hedge; a recovery driver from Millers of Longton pulled him clear at around 10 am.
