County Councillor Nikki Hennessy was welcomed into St Anne's School by the newly formed School's Council.
Members invited Nikki to have lunch with them and to share her experience as a councillor - and seek advice on how they can best support their fellow pupils.
She was also shown around the school and willingly gave certificates out in assembly to those pupils who have done so well during the week from being kind to each other to reading 30 books!
Nikki told QLocal yesterday: "I was very impressed with how the new councillors were keen to support the School and their fellow pupils.
"I have asked the council if they would consider being a Dementia Friendly school and they said they would give it some consideration.
"I want to thank everyone in the School for really working hard and for taking the time to show off what a fabulous school St Anne's is.
"Keep up the great work!"
