Paddy's break began when his opponent missed a tough red to leave Paddy with a fine chance and he certainly didn't disappoint. He potted a solid opening red ball to gain ideal black ball position. Paddy potted the black and quickly added a further two reds and blacks to reach twenty four. His first real test came with the third last red being a tricky one along the bottom cushion, he potted this with aplomb and added a pink ball after that. The last red was also awkwardly placed but Paddy also produced a fine pot and after dispatching another black it saw his break reach forty seven. He then potted a fine long yellow and tried to punch the cue ball over for the green which lay on the side cushion. Unfortunately, he fell a little short and tried to send the green around the angles but missed and this brought an end to an excellent break on forty nine.
