The Grand Prix Ball was held at The Hurlingham Club, ahead of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone in July.
And owner of Pangea Sculptures and F1 aficionado, Aughton's Ian Unsworth, kindly donated the much beloved ‘RED’ - a life size 8ft elephant - to the charity ball auction.
Causing quite a stir on the journey to London from Ormskirk, he was in pride of place as the F1 Cars demonstration took place around him.
Ian - pictured left - told QLocal :”It was a fabulous evening and we were proud to attend and support The Grand Prix Ball and its chosen charity Wings for Life which has special and personal associations for the F1 pundits.”
Established in 2011, the Grand Prix Ball has become a firm fixture in the social calendar for the glitterati to attend ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Glamour and F1 go hand in hand and the fashionable elite mingled with Formula 1 drivers, pundits and iconic Formula 1 cars, whilst being entertained with live performances by award winning artists.
