Another town centre shop closed on Saturday.

But Julie Duncan of Shush (right, with staff) is hoping the move from its popular discount clothing store on Moor St. is only temporary - she told QLocal reporter Roger Blaxall that she's still keen to trade in Ormskirk.









Shush opened around two years ago and dealt in excess stock from 'famous name' chain stores which were sold at unbelievable bargain prices.

Julie and staff said a fond farewell to loyal customers who managed to bag some last minute bargains on Saturday afternoon.

Shush as a business has been sold; julie is now considering her options in ormskirk - if she can find anywhere reasonable enough.

She was thinking of the furniture designer shop opposite Iceland before she found out the rent...

Extortionate rent rises, greedy landlords and incompetent and wasteful council.

It's a disgrace that a medieval market town like Ormskirk which dates back to the 13th century. Now has 19 charity shops and have driven out small business due to crippling rates and greedy landlords. The local council have sat back and allowed this to happen. The amount of money spent on padestrianisation which led to business losing precious trade and some being forced to close should be investigated. Ormskirk deserves better.

Totally agree 12 months of work outside any of them businesses did a lot of damage
Ironically I was told by the council that footfall in ormskirk is up and the percentage of units closed was way below average
To which I raised an eyebrow and laughed !
