A popular charity shop which recently closed won't be returning.
QLocal's Roger Blaxall met the Jospice retail manager at its old shop on Burscough St. now owned by the Borough Council.
She said Ormskirk was becoming too expensive, citing the cost of rent with, she claimed, falling footfall figures on one of the main streets in the town centre.

makes you wonder the council said renting building under their control would be cheaper than out of town landlords
well it doesnt look like the case here does it ?
be intresting if q local could find out if there is any advantage to the buildings being owned by our council or not ??
