Staff laid out the red carpet for Ormskirk School students who received their GCSE results yesterday morning.
And the fanfare was well deserved according to Headteacher Martin Kerridge, who told QLocal yesterday: "On behalf of the entire school community, I congratulate our fantastic students on their achievements.
"This year, 75% of students achieved ‘standard’ passes in English and maths, with 50% achieving ‘strong’ passes at Grade 5 or above. I am delighted to see substantial improvement in attainment across the curriculum despite the turbulence and uncertainty created by the changes to GCSE qualifications over recent years, capped by a number of exceptional individual performances.
"With 10% of our entries for the new GCSE exams achieving a grade 8 or 9, and 60% awarded at least a grade 5, this year’s results are testament to the resilience and determination of our talented students and staff and the support of our parent body.
"We will, as always, look to build on this success and strive to provide the first class education our students deserve."

They make so much effort to be the best and I can feel how tired they are sometimes because studying takes so much time and concentration. Some people can't do it at all, even if they try. However, I am sure that Pramiracetam Nootropic is able to help everyone.
