Refunds for Sunday 30 September after musical Fireworks cancelled.

Sefton Council have issued the following statement.

Thank you for your patience regarding refunds.

Due to the weather conditions during the first display on Sunday 30 September we made the decision to stop the display and cancel the rest of the event.

This was very disheartening for everybody involved. We would like to say a special thanks to Rainbow Fireworks who gave us a fantastic show but sadly had to cut it short by 2 minutes, and Distant Thunder who not only spent the entire year planning their show, but also entire day setting up it up and most of the night (into the small hours) taking it down.

The safety of our customers is our priority and our competition clerk felt that with the change in wind direction and speed, the conditions were no longer suitable to carry on with the competition.

If you purchased tickets and attended the British Musical Fireworks Championship on Sunday 30 September and wish to apply for a refund then please read below.

Online Sales

If you purchased your ticket(s) online and attended the event, please email tourism@sefton.gov.uk if you wish to receive a refund. You need to include in your email: full name and email address (at time of booking) and ticket reference number(s).

Gate/ Phone/ Counter Sales

If you purchased a ticket on the gate then you will need to send your ticket(s) back to the following address:

You will need to include your full name, address and email address for us to process this refund. Without this information, we have no way to contact you regarding the next stage in your refund.

The closing date to apply for refunds is 7th November. ALL refunds will be issued within 30 days after this date.
