Subject: Road surface Long Lane / Prescot Road junction

Hi Roger,

You ran a story a month or so ago about the road surface at the junction of Long Lane and Prescot road in Aughton/ Ormskirk.

The road is particularly bad when coming from Long Lane towards Ormskirk and had now developed a huge hole.

I personally reported this via email to the council on 27th Feb and after their quoted 22 days I’ve chased multiple times, all the way until chasing on 3rd April when they told me the job was completed and they said they will log it again, meaning another 22 days.

Reading your article I’m not the only person who has reported this but the council continues to ignore people.

It would be great if you could run a story again on this and updated images of the holes in the road to highlighted issue. It may eventually get the council to act.
