Action from the opening night of the new greens with the first home league games

For those of you that didn’t know John used to play crown green bowls as a teenager with his father in Wavertree, Liverpool, and was a quarter finalist in the Junior Waterloo. He only tried snooker when the green was closed due to rain one night – the rest, as they say is history.

He's now an Honorary Patron of the British Crown Green Bowling Association and a great ambassador for the sport.
