QLocal can now reveal the reason for the spate of road surfacing works around west Lancashire...
In an exclusive interview with reporter Roger Blaxall*, Ormskirk County Councillor John Fillis revealed that supplies of tar are now much more readily available after problems earlier in the year.
It's seen roadworks throughout the district - including here on Prescot Road, Aughton - being completed in the good summer weather (last Thursday, Friday and yesterday excepted...)
*Conducted in the, er, foyer of Morrisons, Ormskirk

Yeah Right,,,
It would have been ok if they had resurfaced the roads properly instead of the car damaging loose chippings, In my opinion they should never use loose chippings again
