A Burscough family hosted a fabulous St. Patrick's fundraiser on Saturday night for a very special cause.
Last week, QLocal reported on how the generous Community Link Foundation gave Shelby and Martin Woods £4,400 to help pay for a special vibrating vest for Sienna Woods who along with her younger brother Noah has cystic fibrosis.: https://www.qlocal.co.uk/southport/ne...y-55029139.htm
Reporter Roger Blaxall received this email on Sunday from Shelby with the family well on the way to being able to buy a similar vest for little Noah, too!
'Hi,
'We had a great night last night and had a massive turnout of 200 plus people.
'The raffle went really well and we ended up with tones of prizes, from vouchers to signed football shirts.
'The band (Exile on Charles Street) played for two hours and were brilliant. The DJ Peter Smith really got the night going and helped with the raffle and announcements.
'We have counted all the money raised and in total we raised £2600, so this means we are already well on our way to getting Noah a vest and machine too.
Thanks,
Shelby.'
