‘Timesavers’ has been successful in receiving funding from the Community Foundation with a grant of £1,000 to support training and work experience in office skills for people with learning disabilities.
The charity provides an office administration service for voluntary sector organisations in West Lancs. in order to give work experience opportunities for people with learning disabilities who have found it difficult to find paid jobs or work placements in office administration; its work also includes shredding and the making of greetings cards.
Secretary and Charity Trustee Edward McCarthy said: “I am delighted with this funding award. We are currently seeking work placements in local organisations for our trainees, and if you can offer a placement please ring or email for details.”
