Residents of several care homes from Ormskirk and Skelmersdale were amongst those treated to a free concert courtesy of local charity ReSound Community Choir.
And Ormskirk's Toby Carvery came alive to the sounds of Rio in an Olympic themed performance, featuring a diverse set of music from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to M-People and Bruno Mars.
Musical Director Sarah Monteith told QLocal how the concert came about.
"This is the fourth year we have had the privilege of hosting the residents of local care homes, and it's always one of our favourite events of the year.
"We love to see them joining in with such enthusiasm, and the choir work hard to raise funds so that the concert can be free.
"This year we've been grateful to receive an award from the National Lottery Awards for All fund, which meant we could afford to hold the concert twice on the same day to allow as many people as possible to enjoy it. The Award has also funded specialist training for the choir, new uniforms and sheet music, and has allowed us to upgrade our sound equipment."
