You’ve heard the saying 'too many cooks spoil the broth' – a local church luncheon club's looking for more cooks as it looks for a new recipe for success!
This from Roy Cumberlidge (pictured) at Emmanuel Church:
‘Can you help?
'We need two people to cook lunch for up to 40 people twice a month.
'Our long running Lunch Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month with volunteer helpers in the Langham Hall. We have a well stocked kitchen off a large hall.
'Although this is a voluntary position expenses can be met. Our present cooks are retiring at the end of the year.
'We are a friendly group and the elderly folk in our community appreciate the company and the home cooked meals.'
