A man and a woman were injured following a collision on the A59.
It happened last night (Friday, July 6th) at around 10:25pm when a Toyota Auris, waiting to turn right at the Liverpool Road junction with Croston Road, has been in a collision with an MG travelling in the direction of Liverpool.
The MG driver, a 66-year-old Aughton man, suffered a facial injury and the passenger, a 67 year old also from Aughton, suffered chest and pelvic injuries; both were taken to Royal Preston Hospital where they remain.
Police are asking any witnesses to come forward - Sgt Lee Harris from the Road Policing Unit told QLocal this lunchtime: “We want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened as they may have important information that could assist with our investigation.”
If you have any information, please call 101 quoting incident reference 1794 of July 6th.
