Merseyside Police is re-appealing for information to help trace a missing 60-year-old woman, last seen on Thursday.

Lizabeth Weeks, from Southport, was last seen at the Castle Green hotel in Kendal, Cumbria at 11am on Thursday, 21 December. She is also known to frequent the Hawkshead area of Cumbria.

Extensive enquiries have been ongoing to locate her since and information indicates that Lizabeth may have been in the Preston area of Lancashire since she was last seen.

She is described as white, 5ft 5in tall, with collar length blonde hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.

When she was last seen Lizabeth was wearing a full length navy parka coat, navy jeans, and black boots, carrying a furry black rucksack.

Police officers are making extensive efforts to find Lizabeth and return her safely to her family and would urge Lizabeth, anyone who knows her whereabouts, or who has seen a woman resembling her, to call police on the 101 number.
