Use pedal power to learn better cycling skills on Bikeability course.

Do you have children aged between five and 12 who want to discover new skills on two wheels? Then sign them up for the free Bikeability Level 1 course at Coronation Park in Ormskirk on Saturday 30 September between 10am and midday.

Whether your children are learning to ride on two wheels for the first time or wanting to improve their balance and ability, then this session will suit them.

Instructors will help children learn to control their bike, improve observation and learn techniques to prepare them for road cycling in the future.

Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “Bikeability is a great way for children to learn new skills on their bikes. So if you have children aged between five and 12 make sure you book a place for them on this course.”

Places must be booked in advance by ringing 01695 570258 or emailing anne.faulkner@westlancs.gov.uk.

The Bikeability course has been organised by West Lancashire Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside Service.
