Easter came for a second time at Rainbow House when they received an eggstra special donation in the form of a giant Easter egg!

The egg - over two feet tall and weighing over 5 kg was given to them by Nick Edwards and his family from Parbold.

Rather than trying to raise funds the charity has decided to share it amongst the children; some were challenged to help break up the egg which helps their co-ordination and movement skills.

Ben Blackman, Chief Executive, Rainbow House, told QLocal: "We have never seen such an enormous egg – it was really stunning and an ideal way for us to include, not just the children who attend conductive education and other services, but their families too.

"Our main aim is to support children and young people with a variety of neurological and physical conditions and help them to achieve far more than thought possible but we also look to involve the family in all that we do – sharing this egg will be a sweet treat for everyone.

"We were delighted that Nick and his daughter Penelope were able to join us when we broke the egg and we thank them for their generosity.”
