Another QLocal exclusive
Work starts next week on a large five year project to build Ormskirk's biggest new housing estate, Highgrove Park.
Russ Taylor from Westbourne Civil Engineering - subcontractors for developers Taylor Wimpey - is pictured this morning as a small team started to prepare the way for construction machinery that's moving onto the fields at the end of High Lane on Monday for groundworks.
The site will soon be a thriving Taylor Wimpey site with some 311 homes built in a prime location.
Russ told QLocal that the drainage for the site will be 'over engineered' on flood prevention works with improvments agreed on upgrading an adjacent watercourse to the rear of the field which will be eventually bounded by a new linear path linking Ormskirk and Burscough.
