Report and photos from Lisa Fletcher
Celebrations began early as Olive Morris, now resident at Stocks Hall Burscough, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday!
She opened her birthday cards including her special one from HM the Queen, and was greeted by staff and friends who all sang 'Happy Birthday'. Olive then went on to open her gifts, surrounded by hugs and birthday kisses.
Her special centenary birthday continued with a celebratory lunch followed by a show by JLH Productions who danced and sang to Olive and the residents.
Olive got up and danced some of the afternoon away - quite amazing when you are 100 years young!
She said: "I have really enjoyed myself and I loved the music.”
Olive's family, living in Canada, will join her later in the month for further celebrations of this happy occasion.
Stocks Hall Nursing & Care Group send warm congratulations to Olive and wish her a very happy centenary birthday.
