From Tess Reddington, former Clerk, Burscough PC
'Hi Roger
On the PC agenda this month is a proposal to buy 5.5 acres of land at School Lane to create a youth activity park (skate park/bmx track)
YOBs* have brought this forward, and if approved it will:
allow for the creation of a bmx/skate park with space for other things for teenagers such as zip wire, etc.
provide additional parking for the cricket club for events, etc.
provide much needed open space accessible from the canalside
pave the way for the bridge between Heathfields and Burscough Bridge.
It's the nearest we have ever been to providing good facilities for the 13 - 19 age group, but its by no means certain yet - councillors still need to consider carefully.
There is a survey here:
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/surve...Df5YQTc1PXc_3D
but more responses needed good or bad.
Any help in disseminating this much appreciated.'

Idea of creating this youth activity park near the school is great as it will open a lot of recreational opportunities for the students. This is an official statement of essays maker. Additional parking has also provided for sport events. This park is providing great facilities for the teenagers as well as youngsters.
