West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper visited one of Ormskirk’s most recently launched businesses, The Bagel Deli, on Moor Street.

Owner Martin Fautley invited MP Rosie to present his new business to her, show her around the shop and talk about the challenges and opportunities of plying his trade in Ormskirk.

Martin, who set up on his own having found himself recently unemployed, has previous experience from working at London’s famous Brick Lane Beigel Bake.

He showed Rosie how all his stock is locally sourced and the bagels are cooked fresh, in store, every day.

West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said:
“It’s great to see that even in challenging times, entrepreneurs like Martin are coming forward and giving it a real go and contributing to the vibrancy of the town centre.

“I’m pleased Martin chose West Lancashire as his location for his startup and hope that local residents will support him and the high street in his venture.

“My thanks to Martin for inviting me along to his store and I wish him the very best of luck.”

Martin Fautley, Owner at The Bagel Deli said:
“I’m grateful for Rosie coming along and talking with me about business in West Lancashire. A lot of hard work went into setting up and I hope now that customers will appreciate our fresh stock and locally sourced ingredients.

“I was happy to be able to show Rosie around the shop and our range of bagel options including poppy, onion and jalapeno.

“We deliver within a 3 mile Radius of the store including Sundays as we make homemade Yorkshire wraps, fresh veg, and a veggie option.”
