It’s only a few days until the exciting 2018 Burscough Heritage weekend!
This Saturday and Sunday, the Burscough Heritage group and Burscough Wharf - with support from The Slipway pub and Burscough Parish Council - are holding the latest event.
The theme is the 1940’s and 'The Lancashire Belle' aka Jane Francis, a 40’s style singer, will be performing in the Burscough Wharf courtyard on both days. And it'll be filled with displays, stalls and vintage vehicles around the history and heritage of the village and the 1940’s whilst the George, a restored wooden coal barge, will be moored on the canal and open for visitors.
All visitors are being asked to join in the fun by dressing up 1940’s style or taking part in the raft race on the Sunday which starts at The Slipway on Crabtree Lane at about 2pm - more information is on the Facebook pages of the Burscough Heritage group or Burscough Wharf.
