Members of the popular Ormskirk Parkinsons Society had a memorable afternoon after being entertained by a group of talented ukulele players.
The group – based at Burscough Wharf - spent around forty minutes playing a selection of toe tapping favourites to around 40 folk on Friday afternoon at their monthly meeting in Aughton.
And there was further good news for the group recently after Community Link Foundation (http://www.clfoundation.co.uk/) awarded a handsome £1500 grant to help provide respite care along with physiotherapy and therapy sessions for Parkinson's sufferers and their carers.
*QLocal's Roger Blaxall’s preparing a special feature on how the group's been supporting one local lady by helping her and her husband cope with his disease.
