Two old pots
Any ideas on these please John? They are obviously very old and have suffered wear and tear but there are no markings at all on their bases and although they look like a pair, one is slightly larger than the other.
What is intriguing is the way the glaze is peeling off, showing the clay beneath.
Thanks in anticipation of your reply.

Delft, Maiolica, and Fiance are some of the names given to pottery that glaze looks like it is peeling off.
Delft is and was made in Holland
and also gives it's name to the likes of pottery made in Bristol, London and Liverpool which is also called delft,
French made faience pottery,
Italy made Maiolica, not to get it mixed up with Majolica made in the early part of the 1900's
your pots look old, thrown on a wheel, hand made and with the paint decoration worn off means the decoration is over the glaze.
The design does not look English, I could be wrong.
difficult with only a photograph,
Before I give a valuation I would like to see the items.
