An Independent councillor has urged the Borough Council to fly the English flag outside the council offices on England match days in support of the national team during the World Cup.
Yesterday, Cllr. Adrian Owens told QLocal: "I wrote to the Council Leader before the quarter-final making the suggestion but sadly received no reply.
"The flagpoles at our Civic Centre were bare on Saturday as England were victorious over Sweden which was a shame.
"West Lancashire residents are backing England as strongly as people in other parts of the country, and I hope the council will get behind the national team and fly the flag on Wednesday and then, fingers crossed, next Sunday as well.”

Supporting England football team is a horrid time, because you never know how the team will perform, and it just makes supporting this collegepaper.org review team that much harder. But, sometimes they do provide you with happiness.
